I know it’s a bit Larry-The-Cable-Guy of me, but honestly, that’s as close to a Anglicized pronunciation of Eyjafjallajökull as I care to manage. I’m not the first to say this, but it really is amazing how nature can just up and grind the global travel industry to a halt by having one little pimple burst on the top of the planet.
We are a temporary little rash on the skin of this world, and don’t you forget it. So you might as well enjoy yourself. Everything, honestly, is trivial. Have a drink, play a game, kiss the person beside you on the train.
